Dogs prepare for USA Tour September/October 2011
Old Blind Dogs fly on Thursday 15th September 2011 to begin their Autumn 2011 Tour of the USA which will run until October 9th. oldblinddogs.co.uk finds out where the boys will tour and who will replace Jonny Hardie for the trip...
Unfortunately, due to ongoing issues with US immigration, fiddler and remaining original Old Blind Dog Jonny Hardie has reluctantly had to withdraw from the forthcoming USA tour. Jonny and the band continue to make every effort to make sure that the situation with immigration can be resolved as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the boys have brought in a replacement to cover Jonny for the tour and ensure the band is at full strength. Claire Mann (pictured) is a multiple All-Ireland winning fiddle, flute and whistle player AND the first female to perform on stage with Old Blind Dogs for nearly twenty years! She has toured in the USA before as a member of Northern Irish band Craobh Rua and with ex-Boys of the Lough piper and singer Christy O'Leary. Aaron, Ali and Fraser are delighted that Claire will be joining us for the trip.
Over twenty five days, Old Blind Dogs will play from the east coast to the west coast of America and visit the States of Michigan, Colorado, California and Arizona. To find out more about the Tour Dates see full listings on our official website by clicking here
We're very much looking forward to the shows and to catching up with old friends AND making some new ones! See you along the road!
